What we do

Centerpoint is a non-profit organization dedicated to working in partnership with first responders, local communities, government and health service providers to support disaster readiness, response and recovery services to communities. Our mission is to strengthen resilient communities. Our vision is to inspire hope during life’s most challenging times.

Our Goals

1

Minimize the traumatic impact of disasters and tragic events through relief and community partnership

Exposure to traumatic events, such as natural disasters, mass violence or terrorism can have an unanticipated or even long-lasting effect on mental health and well-being.

While the impact of a tragedy or disaster cannot be predicted, Centerpoint strives to mitigate the immediate and long-term impacts of all types of emergencies on the affected community.

2

Create a safer and more recovery-oriented experience between first responders and individuals with behavioral health challenges in the community.

Law enforcement, fire and EMS are frequently the first to interact with individuals with behavioral health challenges experiencing a crisis in the community.

To provide a safer environment for first responders and community members, Centerpoint plans to expand its current service array of support lines and training to include groundbreaking efforts to empower and equip first responders to minimize the rate of unnecessary incarcerations and fatal interactions.

Who We Serve

We serve the community as a whole.

We aim to serve as a connection hub and resource for disaster and tragedy in preventative planning, at the time of an event and in coordination of post-event services.

We coordinate the disaster services of faith-based, governmental, health and human service providers and other organizations in order to mitigate human suffering caused by catastrophes.
